All good points Mike. Cardinal Burke is not the Pope, and must stop acting like the Pope. Burke’s public 2nd guessing with bad Faith, bad teachings, the schism he himself is fomenting, and profound disrespect is blasphemy, and deserving of the discipline he is receiving. The same goes for Bishop Strickland.
I stand with Pope Francis, as I have with every Pope, not these divisive false prophets.
I don’t think that Cardinal Burke is fomenting a schism in the Catholic Church at this time but I do believe that Cardinals who swear solemn oaths of fidelity to the Pope at Rome and to his successor should honor that sacred oath by recognizing the Pope’s authority to teach authentic Church doctrine based on his Petrine office. In my view Cardinal Burke will continue to challenge the Pope’s teaching authority publicly and as a result he may suffer the loss of more than his monthly stipend and rent free apartment as a Cardinal in Rome.
Frankly, IMHO Burke should be glad he hasn’t been “Lefevere’d”. A disagreement such as this under Pope JPII would not have been tolerated; certainly not this long.
“Like all the fomenters of heresy and schism, they make false boast of having kept the ancient Catholic faith while they are overturning the principal foundation of the Faith and of Catholic doctrine. They certainly recognize in Scripture and Tradition the source of Divine Revelation, but they refuse to listen to the ever-living magisterium of the Church.” — Pius IX, Inter gravissimas
I love Francis project, I think of it this way, I always felt like the Church was an institution with a way of life attached to it, but Francis wants that reversed, to a Way of life with an institution there as support, it’s a very Jesuit way of seeing the world, especially if your a missionary in a foreign land. I only point that out to show I’m thoroughly team Francis, but my sense is that Francis doesn’t see Burke as a heretic, so heresy is too strong here, Burke went too far in his second Dubia, but questioning the wisdom of some of Francis approach was called for at the start, and probably not even that surprising to Francis. We should all start any disputes from a place where we assume the best about a persons intentions
His Eminence was created a Cardinal by the Pope and can be removed from the Cardinalate by the Pope. His Holiness, Pope Francis, has exercised exquisite patience with Burke in the face of direct insults, accusations of heterodoxy/heresy, etc. He's fortunate that Francis exercises great compassion and is only withholding his stipend as a Cardinal and removing the subsidy for an apartment in Rome. Frankly, in light of the wickedness he has enabled in social media, he should be removed from the Cardinalate. I, too, stand with Pope Francis.
Ultimate in clickbait! Bet this sets an all time page view record. The widened phylacteries should have been the tip-off a while ago. The story of the snack in the wheat field on the sabbath, and indeed today's mass readings, ie. doing the will of Jesus' Abba, turns us to see that the Christ is the Truth, that the law is for instruction and too easily leads to casuistry if one tarries too long at the desk and does not regularly get outside and end up smelling like the other sheep. Jesus doesn't seem like a big fan of ontic elevation (you have one Teacher, one Master.)

Mike you are the devil's voice. You are the divisive one, the liar and the accuser. May God have mercy on you.
I pray for all Church leaders, that they may stay faithful to God, and not be swayed by the lure of the secular world's approval.
Hey Mike, great essay. I think you mean the video is by Michael Lofton, not Michael Voris. I'm looking forward to your analysis.

"But in the meantime, here’s a video by Michael Voris that gives an overview of a few of his errors:"
Hey, Michael Voris there sounds a lot like Michael Lofton :-)
Fixed. Sorry, Michael (Lofton)!
